1. Introduction

By engaging in any treatments, services, or ceremonies offered by Lewis Powell or the Kambo Practitioner Alliance (KPA), you acknowledge that these treatments involve deep personal development and healing work. This includes Kambo ceremonies, shamanic healing, and other modalities facilitated by Lewis Powell. The following terms and conditions outline the requirements, risks, and responsibilities associated with these services. Please read carefully and ensure that you understand and agree to them before proceeding.

2. Disclaimer

• Lewis Powell and practitioners at KPA are not medical doctors or licensed medical professionals. They do not diagnose, prescribe medication, or offer medical treatment. Any treatment you receive is complementary and not a substitute for professional medical or psychological diagnosis or treatment.

• It is strongly recommended that you consult with a licensed healthcare professional before beginning any alternative healing modality if you have a pre-existing medical or psychological condition.

• By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you understand and accept that the results of Kambo, shamanic healing, or any other treatments are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

3. Client Responsibility

• You are responsible for providing accurate and truthful information regarding your health history, mental health conditions, and any medications or treatments you are currently undergoing.

• You must disclose any contraindications (as outlined below) before your session. If any contraindications are present, KPA reserves the right to refuse treatment.

• It is recommended that you have a support system in place to help you integrate the experience of deep healing, particularly after shamanic healing or Kambo treatments, as the process may be intense.

4. Health Conditions and Contraindications

The following conditions are contraindicated for Kambo and certain other treatments, and you will not be eligible for these services if you suffer from:

• Aneurysm

• Active ulcers

• Alcohol dependency

• Addison’s disease

• Brain issues (any)

• Blood clots

• Chemotherapy within 6 weeks

• Drug dependency (opioids, benzodiazepines)

• Gastric sleeve or band

• Heart issues (any)

• Organ transplant

• Schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, personality disorders, or severe mental health issues

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding within 6 months

• Stroke

• Recent surgeries (minimum of 8 weeks post-surgery)

• COVID-19 vaccination (must be at least 6 weeks post-vaccination)

• Bufo administration within 8 weeks prior to Kambo

Clients must provide full disclosure regarding any current or prior physical and mental health conditions.

5. Ceremony Preparation and Expectations

• For Kambo ceremonies, clients must prepare by fasting for 8 hours before the treatment and bringing 3 liters of water. No medications are to be taken on the day of treatment, and no heavy exercise, saunas, are to be undertaken for 48 hours prior.

• The ceremony itself typically lasts 2-3 hours, including preparation, treatment (20-45 minutes), and resting time.

• During Kambo, a small burn is made to the skin, and the Kambo secretion is applied. This can induce purging, including vomiting, diarrhea, or emotional release, which is considered normal and part of the healing process. Swelling is also a possibility and is typically seen as a normal symptom of the treatment.

6. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rebookings

• All bookings are final, and no refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session.

• Under exceptional circumstances, a credit note may be provided for future use, at the discretion of Lewis Powell or KPA.

• Sessions can be rescheduled once with at least 48 hours’ notice. If Lewis Powell or KPA must reschedule your session, you will be informed at least 48 hours in advance.

• Packages purchased must be used within 90 days of purchase.

7. Risks and Responsibilities

• By participating in any treatment, you assume full responsibility for any risks associated with the treatment, including but not limited to physical, emotional, or psychological effects that may arise.

• Kambo is a purgative medicine, and clients may experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fainting, or other side effects. These are normal and part of the process.

• You understand that while Kambo and shamanic healing have shown positive results for many, no specific results can be guaranteed, and success rates differ from person to person.

8. Legal Release

• By engaging in any treatment, you hereby release Lewis Powell and the KPA from all liability relating to injuries, damages, or losses that may arise from your participation.

• You acknowledge that your decision to receive treatment is voluntary and that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

9. Right to Refuse Treatment

• Lewis Powell and the KPA reserve the right to refuse treatment to anyone, without explanation, particularly if it is deemed unsafe due to medical, psychological, or other reasons.

• If any contraindications are present at the time of the session, or if the client fails to disclose relevant health information, KPA reserves the right to cancel the session without refund.

10. Confidentiality

• Any personal information provided during the booking process, including health history and mental health disclosures, will be kept confidential and used only for the purpose of providing appropriate treatment.

By proceeding with booking and receiving treatments with Lewis Powell or the KPA, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
